Academic Program Support
Entrepreneurial curriculum is carefully designed to capitalize on each student’s commitment to development, bringing innovation to the marketplace, or starting and managing his or her own enterprise. Students of this program benefit from exposure to theory and concepts that are linked to successful small business development, as well as independent and corporate venturing. This is supplemented by practical “hands on” working experience and interactions with successful entrepreneurs and small business owners who assist in the development and review of student business plans, developed as a capstone mandatory component of the academic program.
Another type of support given to students is Academic Writing Support. This academic programme provides individual support to students to develop their academic writing skills and enrich their academic vocabulary. As some TEAM University students are not native speakers of English, this valuable service would prepare them for undergraduate studies in the English-speaking environment.

Professional Development
Co-curricular networking opportunities are provided for students in the form of seminars, workshops, discussion forums, and lecture series, delivered by practicing professionals and exposing emerging and contemporary issues related to entrepreneurial and small business ventures. Topics include the nuances of successful business start-ups, issues of sustainability, and the value of Web 2.0 and social media to promote and increase the marketability of new business ventures and their products.
TEAM Students also participate in the relevant industry competitions organized by the Ministry of Innovative Development, the British Council, the World Bank and other organizations supporting starts-up developments and other type of innovative entrepreneurial practices.

Experiential Education
TEAM University student internships and faculty-guided field experiences with existing ventures and start-ups provide significant opportunities for students to merge theory with practice. Opportunities extend to student engagement in regional and national business plan competitions, debate programmes, and academic service learning experiences assisting small businesses and other stakeholders in the community.

Professional Services
Services range from consultation with aspiring innovators or business developers to community events and boot camps, designed to strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit and provide educational opportunities for youth and community entrepreneurial partners. Students should be able to use student engagement services to provide a platform for launching their own innovation-based projects through working in business incubators and accelerators.

Research
Students receive training that enables them to conduct business research designed to strengthen innovation, conduct feasibility studies, create business plans, and develop sustainable enterprise. The university research agenda, driven by community and stakeholder needs, is designed to explore and engender best practices that increase the viability of existing business and facilitate new business emergence. Students are also encouraged to actively participate in professional associations and attend conferences that result in faculty-mentored student research opportunities supporting entrepreneurial agenda.

Innovation and enterprise
A UK style Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) initiative should also be established and funded. KTPs are government-funded arrangements in which an academic expert’s time is purchased to support an industry commissioned project to tackle a specific business problem. The employer pays the student for their consultancy, the academic staff member supports the students and the government pays a subsidy to the employer for the student’s remuneration. The government benefits by encouraging the university, academics and students to focus on the transfer of knowledge generated at the university for the business world, creating potential economic benefits. The student benefits by gaining real world experience and financial reward and the business benefits by having subsidies support introducing innovations.

Accommodation
In the first year we cannot guarantee university-owned dormitory to students. However, we provide adequate support to students in their search for accommodation in the local area that suit their preferences and budgets. Depending on the number of requests received, the administration may arrange to rent a place near the TEAM University building with all the necessary amenities. We try to guide students through the renting process and keep them informed about the status of accommodation in the surrounding area.
