TEAM University organizes guest lectures “Professor of the day“. This program connects students with professionals and providing students an opportunity to receive knowledge and experience from them. Guest professors visit classes related to their areas of expertise. Their involvement in this program allows them to empower students with the wisdom gained through their experiences. Oleg Shvyrkov

Corporate governance advisor and educator. He is a Director for CIS at Morrow Sodali, a global corporate governance and ESG consultancy. He specializes in advising governments on the matters of corporate governance regulation, and corporate boards, on various matters of board effectiveness. In Central Asia, he advises several governments and some major businesses on governance policies and practices.

From 2018 to 2021 Oleg led the Corporate Governance Services group at EY in Moscow, leading the firm’s policy advisory projects, board assessments at listed companies, providing governance advice to non-public companies and helping clients prepare for an IPO. Prior to this, Oleg held a similar position with Deloitte in Moscow for six years where he led Deloitte CIS Center for Corporate Governance. From 2004 to 2011 Oleg was employed by Standard & Poor’s, where he was analytical director for the Governance Services Group.

He holds a PhD in Organisation and Strategy from Tilburg University (Netherlands, 2004) where he conducted research on the intersection of international strategy and governance. His work was published in the leading US research outlet, the Strategic Management Journal. Since 2014, he has been teaching courses on corporate governance and sustainability with the Higher School of Economics and the New Economic School.
