Dr. Praveen B Malla
Praveen Malla is an academic at TEAM University. He received his PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India for his thesis on Corporate Governance. Praveen pursued his PhD under a full national fellowship awarded to him by University Grants Commission, India.
Praveen is a compulsive and continuous learner and has earned 4 Masters and 3 Bachelors degrees. He is also a trained lawyer.
Praveen has over 20 years of hands-on experience in diverse sectors like Research and Consulting, Media and Entertainment, IT and Training. He is a successful strategy and innovation consultant in the education space, a social entrepreneur with focus on uplifting the poor and marginal sections of the society, as well as an Adjunct Professor in various B-Schools and Universities.
He has rich exposure to various functions like corporate strategy, alliance and partner management, innovation management, business research and consulting, content and publications management, sales and distribution, and education and training.
Praveen has been a strategy and innovation consultant for companies operating in the knowledge and IP space. He has offered his strategy advisory services to a network of over 75 higher educational institutions, both as an independent advisor as well as lead of an industry advisory body.
He has introduced multiple education innovations across a diverse range of themes in the higher education space. He writes regularly on various aspects of higher education on various media platforms.
His research interests include Corporate Governance, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Business Pedagogy, Education Research and University Assessments.
Praveen is a multitasker and wears multiple hats concurrently. He is at equal ease both in industry and academia and loves cross-pollinating ideas between them. He has about 14 years of intrapreneurial/entrepreneurial experience.
