First of all, it is necessary to talk about low enrolment in higher education. There is a large demand in the market, but the supply does not meet the demand. Only 100 thousand out of a million people entered the market, and 900 thousand children who were graduates of schools, lyceums, colleges, they could not enter higher education institutions because of insufficient supply. This is bad not only for those who were unable to enroll, but also for the economy as a whole.
While choosing a university for our children, we did not consider local universities, but gave more preference to such universities as INHA, WIUT, MDIS, as they try to meet modern demands of the labor market. It should also be noted that there is no corruption element in the branches of foreign universities that are represented in our country, which in most cases discredits local universities and kills the motivation of students to get higher education. It is necessary to improve the quality of education and radically combat corruption. Also sometimes too much emphasis is placed on attendance or uniform (when the appearance is checked up to socks) instead of real evaluation of the quality of knowledge. Higher education institutions do not sufficiently communicate with business with those who will then hire their graduates. Only in recent years local universities and rectors have started to interact more actively with the business community, and this is a very good trend. It would be great if we adopted the practice of foreign universities, where entrepreneurs are constantly invited to participate in the training process, to hold master classes and discussions.
Therefore, I am very glad that new private universities are being opened, that TEAM University is opening, it is very socially important. And it is great that this is an initiative of the business community - people who know in practice which competencies are lacking in salespeople, which managers, and which engineers. Because business does not need a diploma, it needs knowledge.
